Sri Lankan Ayurveda Salad Recipe

(Total Approx. time: 20-30 minutes)

INGREDIENTS (For 2 people) :

  • 1/4 Cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 1-2 grated carrot
  • 1 cup baby rockets 
  • 1 mango
  • salt and pepper to taste


* Wash and roughly chop baby rockets

* Wash, peel and grate carrots

* Dice mango into small cube size


  1. Roast the sunflower seeds for about 1 minute and let it cool
  2. Make a syrup by boiling the orange juice and honey together. Let it cool
  3. In a salad bowl, add baby rockets, carrot and mango and toss together.
  4. Sprinkle in sunflower seeds and pour syrup over
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Eat immediately while fresh
