Sri Lankan Ayurveda Lassi Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sheep or cow yogurt (preferably organic)
  • 1 inch ginger chopped,
  • 1/4 cumin seed or powder
  • salt to taste

METHOD:

  1. Wash and finely chop ginger, crush cummin seeds
  2. Put all ingredients into a blender and mix until well combined and thick
  3. Drink immediately to get the most from the health benefits.

NOTES:

*If you use organic yogurt, you will get the most health benefits. It acts like a probiotic and aids digestion. 

*If you don’t have a blender, you could pour the ingredients into a glass jar, close it with the top and shake it well, until all ingredients are combined well.

*This drink tastes best without a sweetener, but if you like you can add honey or a natural sweetener.
