Sri Lankan Kanda (or Kange) – Health Porridge Recipe

(Total Approx. time: 30-40 minutes)

INGREDIENTS (For 1 person)

  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 2-3 cups water
  • 1-2 cups coconut milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley / spinach

 

COOKING METHOD:

  1. Place water and rice into a pot and cook for 30 mins (until rice becomes soft and a bit sticky).
  2. Wash and chop parsley / spinach.
  3. When rice is a bit sticky, add coconut milk and salt, mix well.
  4. Add chopped parsley / spinach.
  5. Serve in a bowl
