Sri Lankan Green Pea Soup Recipe

(Total Approx. time: 35 minutes)

 

INGREDIENTS (For 3-4 people)

  • 1-2 cups green peas
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/2 cup of cut leeks
  • 1/onion
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 30-40g bacon

 

PREPARATION:

* Wash and cut carrot, leeks, onion and garlic

* Fry bacon for garnish

 

COOKING METHOD

  1. Fill soup pot with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Add all ingredients except bacon, boil until vegetables soften.
  3. Mix well, turn off heat and garnish with fried bacon.

 

NOTES:

Keeps well in the fridge for 2-3 days
