Sri Lankan Chicken Burger Patty recipe

(Total time approx. 20mins)

INGREDIENTS
(makes 2 big servings)

MEAT:
300g minced chicken

VEGETABLES:
1/4 onion
1/2 garlic cloves
green or red capsicum

OTHER
2-3 tomato or barbecue sauce
1 tsp breadcrumb
1-2 eggs
salt
pepper
oil

COOKING METHOD (~15-20mins):
Place minced chicken into a bowl, season with salt and pepper
Cut onion, garlic and a bit of capsicum to add color, add to the bowl
Mix in sauce, breadcrumbs and egg. Mix well until consistency thickens
Split mixture into 2 balls (or 4 balls for smaller servings)
Heat up a pan to medium-high heat, sprinkle a bit of oil
Place each ball onto the pan, flatten out with a spatula and fry for about 5 minutes on each side until brown.
It’s cooked if the juices run clear when you lightly press on the patty
